Ingredients: organic hibiscus, organic lemongrass, organic tulsi
If you’re from St. Louis City, you probably already know this certified organic tea from your favorite local café. Originally known as ‘Drop it Like It’s Hot,’ we gave it this name because the main ingredient, hibiscus, is kind of a superhero.
Consumed three times a day, this passionately red Hawaiian T-shirt flower is clinically proven to lower blood pressure. No wonder it’s been enjoyed for health and wellness all around the world for many generations—from Mexico to Senegal to the Philippines. And with besties lemongrass and tulsi, you get a boost of adaptogenic antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties, evening blood sugar and cholesterol.
Hand-blended Blushing is an all-around good for you tea (and it’s really cute too).
When it comes to brewing the perfect cup, be mindful with this tea and don’t boil it! The term “delicate flower” has roots in something real—hibiscus doesn’t want to be over-steeped or overheated. Keep your water below 185° (water boils at 212°), or ideally right at 160. Steep for no more than 2 minutes.
We highly recommend a cold brew method. Just plunk 5 tea sachets in 2 liters of water overnight, and voila, it’s ready! You can brew in the fridge if you want it chilled, and room temp works just fine, too.
Enjoy it iced. Perfect for beating the heat, hibiscus supports your circulatory system, offering a natural cooling effect.
Sip it hot. Get that good vitamin C punch against the cold. And bestie lemongrass comes in for a boost of antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties, evening blood sugar and cholesterol.
Bonus: kiddos love it! Just add a little honey, and they'll think it's fruit punch. It’s that pink, and it’s that good.
