Hi, we're Big Heart Tea Co. We started selling tea out of a tiny trailer at farmers’ markets and street fairs, pouring just one blend, our world famous turmeric tea, Cup of Sunshine, for anyone who would listen and talk to us.

We blend herbal tisanes, fancy word for herbal tea, inspired by Ayurveda, an ancient Indian holistic healing system over 5,000 years old, focused on balancing the body, mind, and spirit through simple everyday lifestyle practices. We like to say we’re on a covert mission to help people feel good.

Our favorite herbal overachiever, tulsi, is the primary base for many of our blends.

Also known as holy basil or the “queen of herbs,” tulsi has been used for over 5,000 years in Ayurvedic medicine as a daily restorative herb. In Ayurveda, it’s believed to promote longevity, resilience, and overall balance.

Tulsi is an adaptogen, meaning it gently helps the body regulate its stress response. Rather than pushing the body in one direction like stimulants or sedatives, adaptogens work by supporting balance across multiple systems.
