Title: Temporary/ Part-Time Production Associate

Summary: Big Heart Tea Co. sources, blends and packages organic and single farm teas for national distribution to your favorite cafes and shops. The ideal candidate for the Part-time Production Associate is a team player with attention to detail. This role will work with the production team to ensure that our high quality tea is packaged and cased on time for distribution.

Essential Job Duties include, but are not limited to:

Blending Tea - Weighing, measuring, scaling ingredients
Fill/Packaging Tea - Weighing, sealing, casing retail tea
Daily cleaning and sanitizing equipment and work area
Stocking inbound inventory and staging pallets for outbound fulfillment 
Communicating effectively and reporting issues 
Wearing Personal Protective Equipment where required, i.e. uniform, face mask, gloves, and hairnet

 

Qualifications/Physical Job Requirements:

Reliable, flexible, adaptable, responsible and proactive; enjoys producing a quality product
Good communication and comprehension skills necessary; good people skills
Good math skills; metric knowledge helpful; High level of accuracy required
Ability to work in a fast paced, physical environment which includes frequent: standing, kneeling, bending, grasping and twisting
Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs
Ability to stand for an 8 hour work shift
