One of our most popular blends. An herbal tea of just two ingredients that somehow fills up your whole glowing soul. Cup of Love feels like a hug, and it’s not just your imagination. Rose and tulsi are remedies for the body and spirit.
Rose has been beloved by, like, literally everyone, forever. It’s just written in our DNA. We all love it — the sight, the scent, the flavor. And the health benefits of rose really don't get enough credit. Rose soothes skin, throats, and stomachs. It's anti-inflammatory and full of antioxidants (you've seen how easy rose petals "bruise" — those are antioxidants rushing to the source of air!). And so many people feel a sense of intoxicating, sensory pleasure just from that famous scent.
And tulsi? With its sweet, green, adaptogenic power, it makes a perfect dance partner for rose. Cup of Love is a simple blend that we like to say is "just like a hug from your grandma".
Artists and herbalists have been inspired by rose for centuries, and Big Heart Tea Co. is no exception! Here are our 3 favorite ways to get creative with Cup of Love.
The ‘Treat Yourself’ // Rosie Arnold Palmer
Since 2014, South St. Louis fav The Mud House has crafted their stellar invention the “Rosie Arnold Palmer.” Head Barista Ryan was kind enough to share his recipe with us, and we just had to share it with you!
-
50g Cup of Love loose leaf
-
3 liters cold water
-
lemonade of choice
-
optional zing:
-
ice
-
seltzer
-
vodka or sweet rosé
-
rose syrup
-
fresh lemon and rose petals to garnish
-
Combine the rose and tulsi tisane with water in a container with a lid, and let it steep cold for 3 hours. Then pour equal parts cold-brewed Cup of Love and lemonade in your favorite glass. Over ice? Sure. Spiked? Have at it!
If you want a fuller rose flavor and a little extra sweetness, add rose syrup. You can make it, completely fresh and natural, with Cup of Love! It’s mega easy.
Just pour a 1:1 ratio of sugar to a strong brew of Cup of Love in a sauce pan. Bring it to a boil, stirring until the sugar dissolves, and then let it cool. Bam. You’re an apothecary-level mixologist.
The Bath // Luxurious Love Soak
You can get pretty darn close to paradise with just a pot of strongly brewed Cup of Love and a hot bath. Pour the tea into your bathwater, light one or two candles (or ten), and ahhhhhhhhhhh. Relax.
Not only will you be breathing in delicious rosy steam, but your happy skin will drink up the vitamins, minerals, and other rose and tulsi goodness. You can make it a salt or milk bath, too!
Or maybe a bath sounds like too much work? No worries, babe. Pour that hot Cup of Love tea into a pot or big bowl, grab a soft towel to trap in the vapors, and give yourself a steam treatment. You won’t be sorry.
