With Big Heart Tea Co.'s Royal Treatmint, a classic cold weather favorite like hot chocolate gets elevated. Baker and tastemaker Tasnim Rahman has a minty, lavender-y, super easy hot chocolate recipe for us that will soothe and delight.

Inspiration for this recipe

Picture this - it’s a chilly autumn night, the wind is blowing, taking down the last colorful leaves with it. You’re all cozy with a blanket, candles on and your favourite movie is about to play. Just need  a hot drink in hand... Mint Lavender Hot Chocolate? 

Big Heart Tea Co.'s Royal Treatment brings together two amazing flavours in one teabag - mint and lavender. Delicious on it’s own, but mixed with chocolate takes it to another level!

The recipe


Makes 1 cup

  • Hot chocolate mix - 2 tbsp
  • Hot water - 2 tbsp 
  • Warm milk - 1 cup
  • Royal Treatment - 1 teabag
  • Marshmallow and/or whipped cream (optional)


1. Warm the milk and steep your teabag for 2 minutes.
2. In a cup, add hot chocolate mix, hot water and mix. You can use a frother!
3. Put in your milk and tea mixture.
4. Top with whipped cream and/or marshmallows
5. Enjoy!
