Recipe: Sunshine Dust Two Ways

 

Meet Sunshine Dust. 

Turmeric, Ginger, Lemongrass, Malabar peppercorn. Freshly-powdered

Ingredients: organic turmeric, organic ginger, organic lemongrass, organic Malabar peppercorn

We don’t like to pick favorites, but we definitely have a thing for turmeric, and always have. This anti-inflammatory, adaptogenic superstar stole Founder Lisa Govro's heart when she studied Ayurvedic cheffing. She developed our flagship tea blend Cup of Sunshine in 2012 to get more turmeric into more hands.

The first recipe we're sharing here is the frothiest, best-darn golden milk latte you've ever had at home. And we're sharing our secret ways to whip it up. Literally like in a blender (if you wanna really bring the froth). 

Sunshine Dust Golden Milk

Makes: 1 cup


Takes:
 3 minutes

Ingredients:

• 3 grams Sunshine Dust (approx. 1 heaping teaspoon)

• splash warm water

• 10 ounces warmed milk (dairy or unsweetened plant)

• honey to taste (or preferred sweetener)

In the bottom of your mug, combine Sunshine Dust with the water and whisk into a thick golden milk paste. Add the warmed milk and honey, and stir or whisk until well-combined. 

Alternatively, you can combine all of the ingredients (sans water) in a blender and blend until smooth and frothy. Just try to sprinkle the Sunshine Dust in, so that it doesn't clump!

 Sunshine Dust Golden Oats

Makes: 4 cups

Takes:  overnight

Ingredients:

• 2 cups rolled oats (not quick-oats)

• 4 cups milk (dairy or plant)

• 1 tablespoon Sunshine Dust

• 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

• 2 tablespoons ground flax seed

• 1/4 teaspoon sea salt

• honey or maple syrup for drizzling

• sliced bananas (or whatever!)

Combine all of the ingredients except the bananas and whisk until well-combined. Cover and refrigerate overnight. For oats on-the-go, divide into single-serving containers before you refrigerate! 

Serve cold or warmed with a drizzle of honey and bananas on top. Voila. Golden milk overnight oats.
