This Is How We Do It: Sisterhood

Whew. Times are rough, y’all.

We’re all careening down a river without a map, right? There’s just so much uncertainty for small businesses right now.
But the beauty of it?
We’re all in this together. And no one has come through with solidarity, creative ideas, and support like our sisters.
Gathering at our past Women in Business: Talking about Money event. No, we’re not hosting gatherings right now ;)

On March 15th, over 90% of partner coffee shops, cafes, and retailers around the country made terribly hard decisions to keep their staff and communities safe — by closing their doors. You probably already know this, but the food community is hurting. We need support, hard core.

We’ve written before about the power of women supporting women, we’ve brought STL women-entrepreneurs together for resource sharing, and we celebrate our staff every day. We already knew how amazing sisterhood is.

But women in business go above and beyond to support each other when sh*t gets real.

At the very start of this COVID-19 craziness, our friends Tiny Little Monster reached out with the launch of their Here for Good campaign, printing support Ts for us with 0 risk to the business. And since then, we’ve seen a massive spike in love and support pouring in from our sisters all around the country.

And that brings us to our upcoming giveaways,

partnered with small business babes:

Amethyst Coffee Co.

and Greetabl (launch TBA)!

If you live in Denver — and you like good espresso, coffee bars, and specialty coffee — you’ve probably heard of award-winning Amethyst Coffee Co. We work with master taste-makers and chefs all over, and Amethyst is definitely a fave.

These babes are leaders in coffee: sourcing, roasting, barista-ing, and running an expanding business. They’re shipping coffee directly to your door!

And we’ve got a special giveaway to showcase this bad-assery.

Greetabl is a STL staple. If you’re from around here, you probably attended a Sloup: a woman-led microfunding dinner series for small businesses and creative projects.

Zoë Sharf was one of these microfunding babes, and she launched Greetabl after Sloup supported its final project. Greetabl sells thousands of our adorable gift sachets (printed by Tiny Little Monster, hey hey), and they’re still shipping adorable gift and care packages for the folks you love.

When it comes to community, our small business sisters do it right.

We couldn’t be luckier.

Thank you!
